Mission Statement

Rainbows learning centre prides itself on offering care and education in small supportive classes in a homely atmosphere based on integrated Christian principals. Our Logo symbolizes education based on Christian supported principles.



Our vision is to be a centre of educational excellence based on Christian principles, the learners will be taught by teachers from Grade R to Grade 7. The Learners will be from all members of society and the criteria for Primary school acceptance is based on passing of an entrance assessment. All possible assistance will be given by the school to all learners in order for each unique child to reach his/her optimal potential.

This vision will be obtained by means of a multi disciplinary team approach. It is the schools intention that the parents are part of this team and they will undertake to co-operate, assist and supervise the integrated learning process. This interactive learning / teaching process is still inclusive of all aspects of the learner’s development on cognitive psychomotor and affective levels and we will assist the learner’s families in this dynamic inclusive process.

  • Aim, Purpose and Objectives at the school:

    The school will provide Christian base education from Grade R to Grade 7 to children in the Honeydew, Ruimsig (Roodepoort) and surrounding areas.

    The school will use the South African core curriculum complemented by the ACSI teaching material to meet South Africa’s educational requirements.

    The school will endeavor to equip each child with sound Biblically based education and the skills in order to become stable and proactive members of society.

  • Character of the school:

    The character of the school will be as described above based on Christian based education and will comply with the National education principals stipulated by the national core curriculum. It is a school based on a restricted numbers were each child can be developed holistically.

We are a member school of the ‘Association of Christian Schools International’.
